The bust of the Saint formerly kept at the Abbey of Saint Honorat was placed in the church of Valbonne in 1788.
Formerly Saint Blaise gave rise to a great procession in the village with trumpet drums and young Valbonnais disguised as soldiers headed by the king of roosters.
In 1961, the Biot grape festival having disappeared due to the freezing of the vines, it was decided to create the Servan grape festival in Valbonne during Saint Blaise, which became a kind of very important agricultural show, with the stands of producers of served under the decorated arcades and in the streets of the village.
Servan grapes are always in the spotlight as well as local products.
For a weekend, the whole city lives to the rhythm of this event: farmers’ market, competition of local products, cooking demonstrations by great chefs from the Côte d’Azur.
The children of the town take the opportunity to parade through the streets and burn Mr. and Mrs. Carnival.
The highlight remains the big flower parade on Sunday afternoon where the Valbonnaise associations compete in ingenuity and creativity to make their floats.
