Planning a corporate function means you have to make a lot of choices, which venue, transport, what kind of entertainment, menu options etc. etc. Unlike a diner party for friends, a corporate dinner required for more structure. It should be focused on your primary goal, whether that is rewarding existing clients, attracting new clients or motivating your team.
Are you organising a Corporate Dinner Party?
It all starts with choosing the perfect venue without falling back to conference venues or hotels. A private venue offers you a lot more flexibility and will help you create the right tone for your audience and event. If there are a lot of guests that are first time attendees, it might be a good idea to use name cards and seating plans to mix employees and existing/new clients. Before the dinner we advise you to have some cocktails and canapés to create a relaxed atmosphere and to enable the guests to mix and unwind before they sit down to enjoy the rest of the evening. It also allows you to informally welcome some first time guests, introduce them to other team members and to make everyone feel more at ease.
As food is an integral part of any dinner party and, in general there are 2 choices for a corporate dinner, a buffet or a sit down dinner. One advantage of a buffet is that it enables the guests to mix together whilst choosing their food, and it eliminates the issues with catering for allergies. However, if a more formal event is required with silver service, this would suit a dinner party for smaller groups, events aimed at new clients or if you are just looking for something more bespoke and elegant. Sometimes its a great option to switch seats after each course to ensure the guest will mingle.
During dinner there are different entertainment options from having a small jazz trio move around the tables to a smashing performance of french cabaret dancers. And then there is always the after dinner speakers, providing motivation and inspiration for colleagues and new clients. Whether humorous or topical, there are plenty of companies with a selection of different guests to choose from, ensuring the right speaker can be tailored for the look and feel of the event. After dinner you can finish the evening with a great DJ set to loosen the atmosphere and allow your guest to let down their hair before the evening comes to an end.
Whatever your choice might be, we can assist you in all aspects of organising a great corporate dinner party. From searching the venue to catering to selecting and arranging the entertainment. Contact us to see how we can help you make your corporate dinner party a success.

Monaco Grand Prix Catering – 5 Things you Should Know
The Monaco Grand Prix is one of the most important weekends in the Adams & Adams calendar. Working with clients in apartments and on yachts it draws heavily on our years of experience. If you are visiting the Monaco Grand Prix this year and need catering for your events then here are 5 things you need to know
Coming and Going - It's a nightmare! Road closures, restrictions and more. Your catering team are going to need to know their way around and be prepared to work very early and very late.
Accreditation - Your caterer will have to have the necessary permits and accreditation to come in and out of Monaco. Without this you'll be going hungry.
Experience Counts - Choosing a caterer who knows their way around the Monaco Grand Prix timing and calendar is essential. Look very carefully at who and where your caterer has worked before to avoid any nasty surprises.
Yacht Catering - Catering 'on board' is a specialist skill and needs a caterer with the experience of working on boats and with the knowledge to work with the crew already on board. If you are booking a boat then choose a caterer with experience of yacht catering.
Choose Adams & Adams - With over 13 years of experience here on the French Riviera and with many Monaco Grand Prix events under our belt then you can be confident that we will deliver our usual delicious food, stylish service and with that certain 'Grand Prix' twist. See our Testimonials page for happy Grand Prix clients.
Domaine des Fleurs – South of France Villa Venue
We are delighted to add Domaine des Fleurs, just outside of Grasse to our portfolio of event villas. This is a beautiful, period villa set in large gardens that give a real taste of Provence on the French Riviera.
The villa has the look and feel of a traditional French chateau with it's round tower and beautiful white exterior. The gardens are the perfect setting for a ceremony, either seated around the fountain or in the shade of the olive trees and the lower lawn is the ideal location for the Wedding Breakfast....and afterwards the party can continue in the large living room.
Domaine des Fleurs has 8 bedrooms, sleeps 16 guests and also has a swimming pool (which can be heated) and a full sized tennis court....this is the ideal villa venue for your wedding or event.
5 Top Tips for your Event at the Cannes Film Festival
It's almost time to roll out the red carpet, dust off the tuxedo and finalise the details for your perfect Cannes Film Festival event. This is the time to see and to be seen and whether you are at the Variety party on the Croisette or planning an event at the Cannes Film Festival in a private Cannes Villa then attention to detail is everything. Adams & Adams have over 15 years of experience of organising events for clients at the Film Festival and here are our top 5 tips to ensure that your event is perfect in every detail.
Location - Stick closely to La Croisette. Yours will probably be one of several events being held on the same evening and, if your guests have to try and grab a cab then you run the risk of a low turnout - walking distance is the name of the game. Choose one of the Cannes Croisette venues from our selection.
Date - Check your dates with the festival planning and try not to clash with some of the more exclusive and celebrated events that are the 'must have' invitation of the year. Avoiding the date of the annual Amfar charity event is always a good plan!
Invitations - It's never too early to invite your guests, add that date to the diary as soon as possible.
Menu - More and more of our clients are choosing options from our superfoods and healthy menu options and, during a major event it's always a welcome change for guests to be able to eat something delicious but that is a little lighter than the usual cocktail fayre.
Champagne - No self-respecting Film Festival event is without some great fizz and of course we are in France, home of arguably the best champagnes in the world. But our advice is to get that order in early, to avoid any issues with your first choice being available.
Here we go…Starting the Cannes Season with MIPIM
MIPIM is the start of the Cannes corporate season. It is the event that really kicks off the Adams & Adams season with cocktail parties, lunches and more...and it's only a 3 day event....but we have the experience to help with your MIPIM Event Planning.
It's always a busy time for us as we welcome back clients from previous years and of course work with new real estate companies for whom this is one of their key international events.
This years event takes place from the 12th - 15th March at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes and there are a host of new items on the agenda. There is the New Startup Competition, The MIPIM Future Talent Competition and a discussion on 'Housing the World'.
If you are part of the global real estate industry then we'll see you next month in Cannes. And don't forget to book your catering, we now have very limited availability.
Adams & Adams Partner with Colgan's Brewery
What a night! Thanks Colgan's brewery for asking us to be involved with your launch party. With over 500 hungry guests to feed and beer to sample then we were delighted to serve one of our legendary hog roasts along side traditional British sausages on the BBQ. Great night and great new partnership for Adams & Adams.
Press Launch on the French Riviera with Adams & Adams
It's been a busy time for the Adams & Adams team and last week we worked with Sotheby's International Realty at the press launch of their amazing property Les Colombieres. Press Launches are always critical times for clients, they need to be absolutely confident that the event organisation is taken care of and that they can concentrate on spending time with the journalists and in making the press coverage happen. Thankfully the weather was great and we set up with the usual Adams & Adams panache around the Moroccan style lily pond which is at the heart of this historic property. This was a lunchtime event, but with no real time for a sit down menu we devised a menu of 'tummy filling' canapes including a beetroot and vodka cured salmon, lamb cutlets and with dessert being our signature chocolate tiffin. It was great to be working in such a beautiful location with spectacular views over Menton and out to sea and the event was a great success. Here's the video of the event produced by Riviera Life TV http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWs2PcMLNUY Working with blue chip companies is always a pleasure and there are more to come - it's the Monaco Yacht Show this week. See you there.
